The next group meeting is on Thursday 14th March at 7:30 but in Attwood Road number 28. It will be a busy agenda as we have a lot of things planned at present. All supporters welcome but to note it is a working meeting so there won’t be a speaker. Last month’s minutes are available here.
February minutes
Minutes of the February 2019 meeting are now available thanks to group member Lesley for preparing them. It was a full meeting and we discussed a wide variety of topics including refugees, the death penalty, North Korea, the threat to human rights in the UK, and future events including a film. At the end of the minutes is a list of forthcoming activities we are planning and if you live in the Salisbury, Amesbury, Downton or Wilton areas and are interested in getting involved, coming to one of these events and making yourself known is the best way to do that.

The monthly group meeting is this Thursday 8th of November in Attwood Road, not Victoria Road. All supporters and members are welcome. Starts at 7:30

November group minutes
Minutes for the November group meeting are attached thanks to group member for preparing them. At the end of the minutes you will find a list of upcoming activities. If you are interested in joining us, coming along to one of these events is the easiest thing to do. It is free to join the local group.
July group minutes
Minutes of our July meeting are available thanks to group member Lesley for compiling them. We discussed the death penalty report (see the full version here); North Korea; the forthcoming film evening; the summer BBQ and plans for a Celebration of Human Rights event in 2018 in partnership with the Cathedral. This has come about because of the governments desire to take us out of the European Court of Justice and abolish the Human Rights Act. Although it is doubtful if either will actually come about, it does reveal a mindset in the government which is very worrying for the future of human rights in the UK. It also goes hand in hand with our increasing deals with dubious regimes abroad who are serial human rights offenders such as Saudi Arabia.
If you live in the Salisbury area and would like to join us, then the best thing is to come to one of our events and make yourself known. At the end of the minutes you will see a list of planned events or you can keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook.
